Can a nose job change your voice?

Dr. Sean is here to help answer all your questions about plastic surgery.
Today’s Question: Can a nose job change your voice?
It is a possibility especially if you have a nasally voice at baseline. In rhinoplasties, I will almost always try to improve nasal breathing by opening up the airway and if you have a nasal sounding voice due to chronic nasal obstruction, opening up the airway will also help to open up the tone of your speaking voice. This is especially important for career singers to know prior to a rhinoplasty i.e., Barbara Streisand saying she never got a nose job due to fears of how it would change her voice.
